Octoplay has secured conditional license approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission (AGLC), clearing the path for the studio to supply its product catalogue to operators in Canada's newest regulated iGaming market.

Alberta represents one of the most anticipated regulated market openings in Canada, arriving at a time when Octoplay's North American growth is gaining strong traction. The company is already live in Ontario with BetMGM and PokerStars, following its strategic U.S. debut in New Jersey and its simultaneous rollout across four tier-one operators in Michigan.

With the Alberta license secured, Octoplay is set to quickly go live with the leading local operators as the market opens in July, building on the trajectory the company has established across Ontario and the U.S. throughout 2025 and 2026. The approval adds Alberta to Octoplay's regulated footprint, which already includes 17 operational markets: the United Kingdom, New Jersey, Michigan, Ontario, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Greece, Romania, Malta, Slovakia, Finland, Brazil, and Georgia.
